Bank of America Corp (BAC.N) beat estimates for third-quarter profit on Thursday, boosted by strong growth across its businesses which executives said they expected to continue next quarter. U.S. business inventory accumulation increased solidly in August, though motor vehicle retailers continued to struggle to restock amid an ongoing global semiconductor shortage, which is forcing automobile manufacturers to cut production.
